School of RockFor my very first show ever done at skyline I was apart of School of Rock! I was originally cast as ensemble, but during rehearsal I put myself out there and volunteered to read for Gabe Brown, one of the head teachers. This was quite daunting for me as I’ve never sung publicly and I’ve never learned how to read sheet music. It was certainly a learning experience and School of Rock was a great start to my four years at Skyline.

Stage TechnologyIn second semester I joined the beginning stage technology. I was able to start accumulating my knowledge in all things technology. For my freshman year I focused on learning lighting design from a senior and my friend Ajay. Here she is teaching me how to focus lights up on catwalk. The big project I was able to do was during class I was apart of deck crew building the set for the Odd Couple.

Senior One ActsOne of the final performances I was apart of in my freshman year was the senior one acts directed by my peers, Kinsey Anderson and Judith Jessup. I can’t say it was one of my favorite shows I’ve been apart of but it was some great experience. I was in two of the one acts, one of my roles was the bartender in the scene. They other I was a party goer and at a frat party.
